In improving search experience, Google have redesigned its top navigation layout today. It includes the mouse over effect on the links in the left and bold “Sign in” link with an icon for the options including Search setting, iGoogle and Privacy in the right hand side of the top navigation.

Thing we get with this new top navigation layout by Google –
- Google giving more importance to the Privacy link, its in both – top and bottom navigation.
- The links for the Google sections like Books and Orkut has been replaced with the Videos and Shopping.
- We can see higher amount of links in the dropdown of more
- Web History link in the Options dropdown after you login that allows you to get the history of your search across the web pages, images, videos, and new stories you’re viewed.
- The same navigation pattern is also applied to the Gmail account.
- This new navigation is just applied to the Google.com only.
